ICTEM: Integrated Counselling, Training and Employment Method
The company Kadis acted as a promotor of the LdVII pilot project ICTEM - Integrated Counselling Training and Employment Method

Purpose of the project:
Testing of new methods on the basis of which the programme of working with young unemployed without any vocational qualification was designed.
Advantage of the method:
- innovative and flexible approach
- corresponds to specific needs of an individual
- provides psycho-social skills
- gives the possibility of long-term counselling and support
The main characteristics of the ICTE Method:
- integration of counselling, training and assistance in employment
- flexibility and adaptation to an individual’s needs
- combination of individual and group work, which:
- gives an individual appropriate support
- and increases their efficiency
- intensive counselling support at all stages of the programme
- duration: 6 months with a 3-month follow-up period
- contents of the programme:
- getting to know yourself
- job seeking skills
- communication skills
- personal growth
- computer literacy
Program objectives:
- learning psycho-social skills
- better knowledge of self and opportnities in the enviroment
- setting clear career goals
- developing of creative potential
- developing skills for successful and efficient job seeking
- developing skills for succesfull career planning
- encouraging lifelong learning
- inclusion of young people into employment or further education
The project was concluded in October 2004 and awarded a best practice award in 'The voice of users in guidance' conference. It is transferred in the 'LdV transfer of innovation' project JobTool in which Kadis is also a partner (see information on JobTool project).
