IMPLEMENTING AN APL CENTRE

The purpose of the project is to set up a centre for accreditation of non-formal and informal learning. APL (Accreditation of prior learning) contributes to life-long learning and is at the same time an important tool for human resources development since it enhances mobility, career development and employability. The centres that will be set up in the lifetime of the project will serve as a link between the products of educational organizations on one hand and between the needs of organizations and their employees on another.

The goal is to set up an APL centre in three countries (The Netherlands, Germany, Slovenia) and evaluate it from different perspectives:

- perspective of the APL centre

- perspective of educational and training institutions (the quality of the accreditation of non-formal and informal learning)

- perspective of the companies and their employees (contribution to human resource development, life-long learning and employability).
