CT Career Compass
Goal of the project is to develop appropriate programs for unemployed people enrolled in education and training in the field of information communication technology:
- Help long-term unemployed people to reenter labor market
- Help to adapt and integrate to the work environment
- Counseling with setting mid- and long-term career goals
- Informing people of the possibilities of further education and terms of enrollment
- Help and support at developing improving one's career
- Development of long-term strategies for life-long education
- Development of positive attitudes, aspirations and work motivation
Barriers which the unemployed are faced with are often unsupportive environment, low formal educational level, vague expectations about employment, low aspirations, dependence on social benefits, early parenthood and others. Putting someone in a work environment is often not enough. A need for further observation and career counseling emerges to prevent return to unemployment.
